Plastic Machining Company shaft collars are generally made from acetal, Delrin®, or nylon.
We use Acetal for our high quality shaft collars. Acetal is a high-performance plastic that offers higher rigidity, holds threads better and exhibits higher chemical resistance than many other materials. It also allows for zero moisture absorption and eliminates swelling issues more commonly seen with nylon and other materials.
Plastic Machining Company employs only state-of-the art CNC machining and every collar is hand crafted, finished and inspected. Other plastic grades and types are available for unique application considerations and custom pieces.
